About the film

The Years Lost follows the emotional journey of Pakka, a yak herder in the mountains of Nepal, as he reconnects with his past and his family after 40 years when he spontaneously meets a group of strangers. A story of loss, discovery, and love, Pakka’s story traverses across Nepal, in search of identity and years lost.

About the team

Herne Katha is a Nepali web series, directed by Bidhya Chapagain and Kamal Kumar and produced by Tana Bana Digital. The web series shows untold stories of ordinary people in the format of short documentaries. With over a million subscribers, the programmes on Herne Katha have united Nepalis by showing the lives of other Nepalis from the remotest corners of Nepal to profile ordinary people living extraordinary lives.
