Paromita Roy is the Research Data Manager for the Heritage as Placemaking project. She recently completed her second Master’s degree at the University of Heidelberg under the supervision of Professor Christiane Brosius. Her academic interests lie at the intersection of urban geography and mobility studies, explored through a feminist lens. Her M.A. thesis was titled, “City of Women: A Feminist Cartography of How Women Have Fun in Urban India,”  and explored the backdoor negotiations and compromises that women make to have fun and feel at home within a city.

Paromita also holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in English Literature.
