Tara Brahme is a student assistant for Heritage as Placemaking and an M.A. student at the department of Transcultural Studies, Heidelberg University. She holds a triple major B.A. degree in History, Literature and Philosophy from Azim Premji University in Bengaluru, India. As a part of this, she wrote and submitted a thesis titled The Kabir Kala Manch and Ambedkarite Aesthetics: A History of Dalit-Bahujan Resistance in India's Cultural Resistance Movements.

She is interested in the intersection between art and politics. Specifically how visual and performance art forms are mobilized towards goals of progressive politics. Tara was a participant at the HaP spring school in 2024 and is centrally interested in the intersection of performance arts and the cultural-political questions of heritage.
